All Nimbus recordings are the copyright of Nimbus Records Limited or have been licensed to us by other copyright owners. Most contain works which are themselves subject to separate composers' copyrights. Many of our recordings are also subject to separate performers rights.

All booklets and inlays on Nimbus CDs are Nimbus copyright. Most contain images and text which are subject to separate copyrights, principally of artists, picture libraries, photographers and sleeve-note writers.

Copying copyright material in any form without the owner's permission is illegal in most countries of the world, subject only to local national exceptions, of which Fair Dealing or Fair Use is perhaps the most important.

Copyright is a complex and constantly evolving subject and there are many informative sites on the Internet run by law centres and universities. Handbooks written by specialist copyright lawyers are also available. For questions of United Kingdom law I find The Users' Guide to Copyright 4th Edition (Butterworths) by Michael Flint extremely useful. Ultimately, however, copyright is not a do-it-yourself subject, and mistakes can be very expensive. If in doubt, consult a copyright lawyer. We do.

Nimbus recordings have been used in the following productions:

Primal Fear, starring Richard Gere
The Firm, starring Tom Cruise
Dead Letters, produced by Jane Campion (The Piano)
Civilisation (video) - BBC, Kenneth Clarke
Men Behaving Badly
and in educational packages published by OUP, Schott & Co, McGraw Hill, Heinemann, The Open University and numerous others.
