The Brandenburg Concertos
Bach’s most celebrated set of six concertos with orchestra - the Brandenburg’s - each feature a different combination of solo instruments. This concert includes those with trumpet (no.2), recorders (no.4), and harpsichord/solo violin (no.5). Florilegium are one of the finest exponents of baroque music and their evening of Bach on period instruments will bring these vivacious works to life. This group communicates pure joy in performing and combines technical brilliance with outstanding musicianship to sweep us off our feet.
