The Kopelman Quartet Graduates of the Moscow Conservatoire in its golden period, the 1970s, the founding members of The Kopelman Quartet share a background, style and musical outlook in the classic Russian tradition of this great institution. They formed The Kopelman Quartet in the summer of 2002, having pursued individual and distinguished careers for over twenty five years. Mikhail Kopelman has legendary status among all lovers of quartet playing, having been for twenty years leader of the renowned Borodin String Quartet. He describes his new quartet as ‘coming home’. Audiences from the Musikverein to the Concertgebouw, the Edinburgh Festival, Wigmore Hall and Library of Congress have all agreed that The Kopelman Quartet is indeed rather special.
Ticket Prices: £12.50 This BBC Broadcast recital is approximately 50 minutes long. Sunday lunch will be available in the Pavilion before and after the concert. |
