An evening of romantic music packed with great melodies

" ... Music played, by the Aurora Orchestra, as if it has been delivered straight from Heaven." The Times

Since its formation in 2004, the Aurora Orchestra, made up of some of London’s most hotly-tipped young players, has earned universal critical acclaim. They open the 2008 Wyastone Summer Series with a programme crowned by Brahms’ First Serenade - a carefree youthful work, brimming with freshness and melody with a slow movement of powerful serenity. And there’s a new Violin Concerto by one of America’s most sought-after young composers - Nico Muhly. If you’ve enjoyed the music of Michael Nyman or John Adams, this is music that will appeal.
