Baroque favourites by Vivaldi, Handel and others

"Florilegium climbed the heights of dancing bliss and left the Wigmore sighing with pleasure. They have become an indispensable feature on the early music landscape." The Times

Florilegium are a national treasure. One of the most flamboyant and sought after period instrument ensembles, their CDs regularly have the critics reaching for superlatives. They return to Wyastone with a mixture of instrumental music by Vivaldi and Handel and arias composed in the 18th century for Carlo Broschi. Better known as Farinelli, he was the most famous castrato of all time, unrivalled for the vocal agility, range and beauty of his singing.
