Music for solo voices from medieval France and England

During the period of the Hundred Years War between France and England in the 14th and 15th centuries, music flowered as never before with influences passing back and forth between the two warring countries. From France came the exotic experiments of Machaut, whilst from England came the calm lyrical majesty of Dunstable. The four singers of Gothic Voices have been leading British interpreters of medieval music ever since their award winning CD of music by Hildegard of Bingen burst on the scene twenty-five years ago. Don’t miss this fascinating evening.
