A Unique Sponsorship and Hospitality Opportunity

The Wyastone Summer Series is now regarded as one of the premier Classical Music Festivals in Great Britain and was described by the South Wales Argus as "... Glyndebourne without the penguin suits and without the strain on your wallet".

The 2008 programme contains 12 events and will introduce some of the best known international artists. Highlights include John Lill, playing romantic masterpieces by Schumann, Liszt, Brahms and Bach / Busoni, the Kopelman Quartet playing Shostakovich, Schubert and Weinberg, Katerina Karnéus singing Poulenc, Brahms and Wagner, Florilegium playing Baroque favourites and The City of London Sinfonia conducted by William Boughton in the last concert of the season. We also welcome some newcomers - The Aurora Orchestra, Gothic Voices, Fibonacci Sequence, London Mozart Players and London Winds. The outstanding Gwilym Simcock Trio is our Jazz concert of the season, and the Band of the Royal Engineers and Bridgend Male Choir bring their usual touch of pomp to the proceedings.

About the Wyastone Summer Series

Located between Ross-on-Wye and Monmouth, in the heart of the rolling border country of the Wye Valley, the Wyastone Summer Series is now regarded as one of the leading classical music festivals in Great Britain. Given in the concert hall designed and used by Nimbus Records, the stunning grounds of the Wyastone Estate form a stunning backdrop, perfect for hosting an evening of corporate entertainment. Guests often arrive early to picnic in the beautiful grounds alongside the river, to enjoy a leisurely drink on the terrace or to take supper in the Wyastone Pavilion. Under the artistic direction of conductor William Boughton, the concerts have attracted an international line-up of acclaimed performers in music ranging from medieval to contemporary, song to orchestral and jazz to brass. Established in 2001, the annual Series has grown steadily and in 2006 attracted its highest ever audience of 7000. Described by the South Wales Argus as "the most important programme of concerts in Wales", eight of the concerts were sell-outs.
