The Directors and Trustee of Nimbus and Wyastone are continuing conversations with all colleagues discussing the impact and precautions that need to be implemented during this phase of the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.
We have completed plans that will allow team members to work from home as and when needed with just one person attending the office each day on rotation. This will enable all functions of the business to be maintained all be it on a slightly limited capacity. We appreciate your patience. We have also implemented the Government advice and postponed all public performance events scheduled in the Concert Hall up to the end of August 2020.The air conditioning system at the Hall is fully replacing and not recycling which means none of the air is recycled and that the entire volume is replaced within a 6 hour cycle. The hall is thoroughly cleaned after each hire. Attention is directed to areas occupied by clients and a strong disinfectant is used on all hard surfaces including desks, tables, kitchen and bathrooms. All soft areas are vacuumed and hard floors are mopped again with a disinfectant.
Because of our rural location and because of these precautionary steps we are confident that the studio and control rooms can remain open for Nimbus recordings and our third party hire clients. We hope that all artists and production teams will take personal responsibility to inform and self isolate if they have visited any of the identified hot spots or if they are exhibiting any of the known symptoms.
We recognise that companies and individuals are being asked to make difficult decisions and that these decisions are likely to change day to day. Should you wish to postpone your planned recording session at Wyastone we will work with you to find new dates.

Wyastone is the concert hall and recording studio of The Nimbus Foundation. The design and construction of the building was modelled on some of the finest concert venues in Europe and has resulted in an auditorium with a superb natural acoustic. The Hall is an ideal venue for concerts, recordings, television productions and live broadcasts. Located 3 miles north of Monmouth and 7 miles from Ross-on-Wye in the heart of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Access by road is excellent, directly off the A449/A40.
The flexible design of the auditorium will also accommodate theatrical performance and exhibitions. Since its official opening in 1992, Wyastone has also been the home of Nimbus Records who have used the studio to create many award-winning audio and visual recordings.
The position of the Hall on the Nimbus estate provides total privacy and complete isolation from transport related noise. See map for details. The Foundation is managed on a day to day basis by Wyastone Estate Limited, whose offices are situated adjacent to the Hall.
