JS Bach: Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin

The sonatas and partitas have been an integral part of my musical development. Their musical, technical and intellectual requirements represent for me a basis and a reference point of development written for the instrument. These works have been a source where I find the essence of violin playing, I feel deeply attached to these masterpieces and enjoy playing them very much. By re-visiting these pieces one can feel to be on a journey of discovering its unique language, seeing its various aspects and noticing, hearing new, ever relevant universal messages.
