Trumpet & Organ at Liverpool Cathedral

"A good representative selection of Baroque music for trumpet and organ both written specifically for and arranged for these instruments. The performances are competent rather than exceptional but the whole programme is put together with a pleasing degree of coherence. Disregard negative comments about Stanley's Voluntary no 5 from another "reviewer" who appears taken aback by the musicians having the audacity to play both movements instead of the truncated version broadcast on Classic FM - a simple reading of the liner notes with the CD and the reply to that comment provide adequate explanation."- L..
