Turina 'La Oración del Torero' Spanish Works for String Orchestra

For this collection, ONCA plays a wide variety of works by Spanish composers, including world première recordings of Manén's Miniatures and Grignon's Monocromies. The players' natural flair for the music betrays the fact that this is a repertoire particularly close to their hearts. All four composers demonstrate an unashamed loyalty to the nationalist movement of which Joaquín Turina (1882 - 1949) is an illustrious representative.
