David Wynne's Piano Sonata #2 was premiered in 1957 to great critical acclaim. His one movement Third String Quartet (1966) divides into five interlocking sections. Ian Parrott's String Quartet #4 completed in 1963 is considered as one of his best compositions. David Harries' Piano Quintet is predominantly a lyrical work.
